Upcoming Tryouts

Surge Aquatics will be holding tryouts for the 2026 Short Course Yards Season, which begins September 2nd, 2026. Tryouts are for swimmers who are interested in joining Surge Aquatics and are ready for a year round swim team environment. Swimmers should be able to swim all four strokes and must be able to complete at least 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke without stopping.

Swimmers ages 13 and over must be able to complete 6x100 freestyle on an interval of 1:45

Monday, July 13th

6-7pm

Monday, July 20th

6-7pm

Saturday, July 25th

9-10am

Each tryout will last approximately 20 minutes. Families should sign up for a tryout slot and include their swimmer’s name and age in the comment section.

All tryouts will take place at the Das Rec pool, located at 345 Landa St. New Braunfels, TX 78130

Swimmers who do not yet meet the minimum tryout requirement should register for lessons at Surge Swim School before trying out for the team. More information about Surge Swim School can be found under our Surge Swim School tab.
